We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Coordinator Traffic and Movements for our de-icing operations at the following location:

  • London Heathrow Airport (LHR)


The Coordinator Traffic and Movements ensures the total coordination of all pedestrian (maintenance), vehicle and aircraft movements on the de-icing pad, in collaboration with the airport authority and the Operations Manager, with the goal of ensuring the safe transit of all persons, vehicles and aircraft on the de-icing pad.


Main responsibilities :

  • Coordinate the traffic movements of all aircrafts and de-icing vehicles on the de-icing pad, as well as any pedestrian movements.
  • Responsible for transmitting all directives coming from the Airport Control Tower; Nav Canada and SGAT (Ground Control & Apron Control).
  • Responsible for the daily verification of all systems in the control tower (computers, communications, etc.).
  • Follow up on the diesel tanks and natural gas reservoir quantities.  
  • Place orders for diesel and perform the inventory.
  • Coordinate the operations of the snow removal team.
  • Follow up on the Tower incidents/accidents files and reports.
  • Documentation for ADHOC deicing demands.


Position requirements:

  • Must be  flexible, detail oriented, professional and able to work autonomously.
  • Have excellent oral communication skills.
  • Able to react quickly and work under pressure.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US, UK or Canadian driver’s license (depending on the station).
  • Must obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators’ Permit (AVOP) and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
